Lupita Nyong'o: Fashions Newest Darling

Actress Lupita Nyong'o has everyone talking! Whether it's for her award winning performance in 12 Years A Slave or for her flawless fashion sense, everyone seems to have only praise for this quickly rising star. Her succession of gorgeous red carpet dresses and chic press tour looks have the fashion industry a buzz! She knows how to mix heavy-hitters such as Prada and Chanel, with cooler, edgier brands like Rodarte and Christopher Kane to rock both casual and glamorous looks to perfection. One of my favourite things about her is that she experiments with colour and knows how well warm shades such as orange and yellow compliment her complexion beautifully. And it's not just that, her make-up is always on point too. Can we also take a moment to appreciate Nyong'o's top notch lipstick game! I can't wait to see what she's going to wow with at the Oscars next month!

Here are just some of my favourite looks so far...

BAFTAs Best Dressed on the Red Carpet

This was the week where all the very best of Hollywood walk the red carpet in cold, stormy London for the 2014 BAFTA Awards. Although many amazing films accepted much deserved awards, we are more concerned with something else. Yes, we are more interested in the fashion that stunned on the rain-soaked carpet before they took their seats in the historic Royal Opera House. Maybe the British weather put a downer on the event, as the majority of celebs opted for plain black or white outfits. Not to say that these were any less stunning though! The wonderful Helen Mirren wowed in a beautiful beaded number while Angelina Jolie took a leaf out of Brad Pitt's fashion book, in an androgynous suit. Stars such as Lupita Nyong'o and Olga Kurylenko injected a bit of colour in emerald green and burnt orange dresses, respectively. Now to wait and see what the Academy Awards red carpet will bring us...

From the top: Amy Adams in Victoria Beckham | Brad Pitt in Valentino and Angelina Jolie in Yves Saint Laurent | Helen Mirren in Jacques Azagury | Imogen Poots in Givenchey by Riccardo Tisci |  Olga Kurylenko in Burberry | Sam Claflin and Laura Haddock both in Burberry |  Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe both in Gucci | Lupita Nyong'o in Dior
