Chocolate Swirl Cheescake

My best friend has just returned from 3 months of travelling around China and she hosted a dinner party to celebrate her return. We had such a great evening and it was so great to catch up with all my friends that I haven't seen whilst I've been at university. She made a lovely lasagne with salad and garlic bread teamed with lots of wine! Then she gave us a slideshow of her travelling photos whilst we had tea and dessert. I offered to bring the dessert. Me and my family bake a lot, mostly cupcakes, but I wanted to try something different. I found a chocolate swirl cheesecake recipe by Gordan Ramsey and thought I'd give it a go, and (thank god) it tasted awesome! I will definitely be making this again!

Here Comes The Sun

The weather has finally picked up in London and I'm so excited to whip out my summer wardrobe. My mum bought me this cardigan last Christmas and I'm obsessed with aztec/tribal prints so  it's perfect for me!

Who Wore It Better?

This lacy lingerie maxi dress by Kristian Aanevik has proved quite the hit among hot young celebs. Selena Gomez rocked the racy creation for a music video for her new song Come & Get It. A couple of weeks later Once Upon A Time star Jennifer Morrison looked sexy in the dress at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas

Instagram My Week

(1) My sister sent me a picture of her before her prom, I was gutted I wasn't there to see her, but she looked gorgeous!
(2) Last Saturday I was doing last minute revision for my exam later that day.
(3) I was walking through Oxford on Saturday evening and I thought this looked really eerily cool!
(4) This is a really cute photo of me and my cousins when we were little - I love how hyper we all look!
(5) On Wednesday my flatmates and I  popped a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate the end of our first year at university!
(6) Me with my flatmate and best friend before we drove home from university on Thursday.
(7) This was taken on Friday when my mum and I went to the garden centre to pick out some plants for our garden - so pretty!
(8) My dad is a property developer; on Saturday I visited him on site and had to wear a hard hat - new trend maybe?...
(9)  I was out with my mum and an ice cream van pulled up by us; she was as excited as the little kids about it and I just thought she looked so cute waiting for her ice cream!

Best of the BAFTA Televison Awards Red Carpet

Sienna Miller topped most best dressed lists in this Matthew Williamson frock which she accessorised with a Charlotte Olympia clutch and Louboutin heels. Adding a pop of colour to the red carpet was Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead in a pink Aqua jumpsuit.
Doctor Who newbie, Jenna-Louise Coleman looked sophisticated in a nude gown, while MIC star Millie Mackintosh showed off her envious pins in her sexy Sass & Bide dress.
Kara Tointon looked stunning in a delicate beaded Daniel Basso dress with perfect 20's curls. Also on the red carpet was presenter Laura Whitmore who wore a simple but elegant Sophia Kah dress.

Summer Clutch

Just a quick post to show you the gorgeous clutch I just bought! I found it in TK Maxx (or TJ Maxx for those of you outside the UK) for just £19.99, down from £28.00! It's from a brand called LYDC, which I had never heard of before, but I found their website and they have some awesome bags so click here to check it out! I thought this would be a cute clutch for summer and I love that it's neon pink; it livens up my collection because most of my bags are nude, beige or black.

Inside My Make-Up Bag

I am a make-up junkie; I have way too many products and am always trying out new ones. I am always going back and forth between home and university and every time I take my make-up bag with the few products I swear by and use every day.
My make-up is carried about in this cute Ted Baker bag that I got for my birthday this year. Inside it I have my MAC Pro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation in NC42 colour. I have been using this for 2 years now, and love that it feels light and lasts. I also use a MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in colour NC43 which I uses a Kabuki brush to apply. Underneath my foundation I use Benefit 'That Girl' Primer. When it comes to eyeliner, I am very indecisive as to what I prefer; I have the Models Own Kohl Pencil which has a smudger and sharpener lid, which is my favourite. The smudger makes it perfect for smokey eyes or a grudgy eye look. I also use the Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner and an eyeliner pen from Primark of all places! I use is Sublime de Chanel Mascara which is by far the best mascara I have ever owned. I have quite short eyelashes naturally, and this mascara is so good at lengthening and curling. For my eyebrows I use a Rimmel London Professional Eye Brow Pencil. I also have a powder that I use as I find this looks more natural, but I seem to have misplaced it! Lastly, for my lips i am constantly applying Vaseline Lip Therapy, my favourite is with rose and almond oil. I also love the Clinique Chubby Stick as a lip balm with colour. I prefer this to lipsticks for a more natural day time look. My favourite shade is Richer Raisin.

Ahoy There!

It's coming up quickly to the end of my first university year and I can't believe how quickly it's gone! Year one is over already and it has been amazing! I can't wait for year two; my friends and I have found a gorgeous flat for next year which I can't wait to move in to and I am excited to continue my course.
On Tuesday, my university held their annual end of term boat party. It was such an amazing way to celebrate the year before all our exams start. The dress code was 'smart/casual' (so vague!). I chose to wear a black vest with a colourful aztec skirt, which was only £8.00 from Primark! I accessorised with a chunky gold necklace and black court heels, both from New Look.
My outfit (sorry for the crappy photos!)

My friends and I on the boat!
