New Style Crush: Cara Delevingne

All of a sudden it seems that Cara Delevingne has become one of the most recognisable faces in fashion. Her elfin looks, statement brows and quirky sense of humour have designers, editors and fashion lovers all over the world falling in love.

A few years back, older sister Poppy was the one turning heads in the fashion circles. Taller, with a more conventional face, and six years Cara’s senior, she was featured in campaigns for many designers such as Burberry, and, as a muse to Marc Jacobs, is a face of Louis Vuitton. However, more recently the younger Delevingne has earned her time in the spotlight and this year certified her meteoric rise by winning Model of the Year Award at the British Fashion Awards. She collected her award in head-to-toe Burberry, flashing her pins in a metallic green mini dress. She has “the diversity and originality that we’ve seen in all the greatest British models,” Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council explained. She also praised her “unique sense of style and attitude”. Although the award doesn't come as much of a surprise after the newly crowned Victoria’s Secret Angel dominated a total of 39 runway shows over the Spring 2013 fashion season, as well as scoring campaigns with Chanel and Burberry.

Off the catwalk, the 20-year-old model hangs with her best Friends, Rihanna, Rita Ora and Georgia May Jagger and continues to impresses on the red carpet and London party scene with her own edgy sense of style. She mixes classic designer pieces with her rock-chick attitude to create her own young and stylish look.

It also seems that acting beckons the young star. Cara debuted her acting skills in a small role in the 2012 film Anna Karenina, and hopes to continue acting. She recently tweeted "music and acting are my life!"

So whether it's on the catwalk or on the big screen we'll definitely being seeing much more of Cara Delevingne!

Online Must See: Galibardy.com

I was shopping in Brick Lane last Christmas time and I came across Galibardy's market stall, and I instantly fell in love. Everything was just so gorgeous, and just the kind of jewellery I love! So when I was thinking about what I wanted this year, I remembered Galibardy.

The online jewellers offers edgy "tough luxe" statement pieces which has been seen on the likes of Rita Ora, Georgia Jagger and Jessie J to name a few (check out galibardy.com/pages/celeb-style to see more celebs loving Galibardy).

And it just gets better - Galibardy is affordable too! Items generally range from £10 - £40, and then up to £65 for the boutique range.

Here are some of my favourite pieces:

Rachel Bilson's Shoe Range Comes To The UK

Following in the stylish steps of Kate Bosworth for JewelMint, the Olsen twins for StyleMint and Jessica Simpson for BeautyMint, Hart of Dixie star and fashionista Rachel Bilson has joined forces with stylist and friend Nicole Chavez, with the help and expertise of shoe designer Steve Madden to create ShoeMint - a match made in heaven it seems.
“I think we do share a brain when it comes to fashion,” Chavez, who met Bilson on The O.C., says to her co-designer. Madden is an admirer, too. “We were mad crazy fans of The O.C., so when we got the opportunity to work with Rachel, we were excited,” he says.

See what they have to say about creating the collection:
Users of shoemint.com will take a survey about their style likes and dislikes, sign up and receive a new pair of shoes every four weeks, for just $80 per month. ShoeMint celebrated its 1st birthday this month and has now become available in the UK via stylistpick.com with prices ranging from £38 for pumps to £50 for heels. StylistPick also offers gorgeous shoe ranges from singer Cheryl Cole and presenter Louise Roe and clothes from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Style Wars: Tulisa v Nicole

Week after week X Factor judges Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa Contostavlos are pitted against each other in the style stakes in magazines, websites and living rooms all over the country.
Tulisa has had her work cut out for her as Nicole is definitely the more sophisticated of the two. Louis Walsh infamously labelled the N-Dubz singer  "a chav in a tracksuit", desperate to shrug off this image Tulisa has clearly made an effort, although some weeks this seems to have backfired for her. Former Pussycat Doll Nicole on the other had has looked flawless most nights.
Some of the looks on this series:

Nicole stuns in a asymmetric hemmed gown. Tulisa looks lovely in a Stephanie Allen dress in one her more sophisticated looks

Reunited and it feels so good!

Hey there bloggers! It's been a while!
I am so excited to start blogging again, I've missed it so much! I had planned to start when I was back from holiday, but starting university was more hectic then I had imagined! I feel like I have finally settled and become used to my work schedule that I can start blogging properly again.
Firstly some updates on whats been happening. I got back from Peru two days late on the 7th on September due way too many problems with our flights which I shan't go into otherwise I'll be ranting for days! The trip was incredible, hands down one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I would recommend the experience to anyone! Then on the 16th I moved into my halls to begin life as a university student! 6 weeks away in the holidays had prepared me for life away from my parents so I think I settled quickly. The past few months have been so much fun (although I feel my liver would have a different opinion). I am loving my course (I'm studying History and Geography) and university life in general. I am living with 6 other people, 4 of which I love (lets not discuss the others).
But anyway, enough about me! Lets get blogging!
