Geo Traveller...

After the holidays, I go back to school for my last year of A levels, then I should go to University! But I have decided to take a gap year and go travelling. I figure if I don't do it now, then I never will; there's so much of the world that I want to see! I particularly want to go to South America and Africa.
I hate the idea of being at school from age 5 to 21 with no space to breath in between. So a gap year is perfect for me to see the world and take time to decide what I want to do with myself!
I cannot wait to begin travelling!

With travelling in mind...
I'm loving the Tribal/Aztec look at the moment (very 'traveller')! Here are some fabulous pieces on the high-street:

R.I.P Amy Winehouse...

This week the world has been saddened by the loss of the extremely talented Amy Winehouse. The Back to Black singer was found dead in her North London home and although it has not been confirmed what the cause of death was, it is thought to be an overdose.
This comes after Amy was booed of stage in Serbia after a shambolic performance, causing her to cancel the rest of her European dates.
Amy had long been battling an addiction to drink and drugs. So although this loss is sad it is not unexpected.
The singer had been working on a new album to follow up her 2006 multi-million selling Back to Black.
At only 27 years old, Amy now joins the '27 club', including Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison; all talented artists that died at 27.

She looks just like them girls in vogue...

So once again I forgot to do my Monday post (I really don't know why I keep forgetting!) but fear not! I won't leave you with nothing!
My sister, Thea's, prom was on Monday so I was busy helping with the dressing. Her friends came round for photos and then they were off to what my sister described as the "chavvy pits of hell". And although she may not have had the greatest time, at least she had her friends, and she looked pretty stunning though it all!

The Look:
After a lot of dress shopping she finally found the one! It was a beautiful red dress from Biba, with a cape (my sister is obsessed with comic books so she was very excited by the idea of having a 'superhero' cape). We accessorised the dress with a pair of fabulous heels from Office, (which we found in the sale for £25, down from £60 - not bad!), feather earrings and a cute straw box bag.
My cousin is studying beauty therapy, so she came round and did Thea's make-up, and I did her hair.
She looked so lovely! And because she doesn't dress up often or wear make-up, I'd never seen her like this;

Here are some photos from the day:
